Join us on Friday, May 25, 2012 for the Fourth Annual Bike to Work Day and Second Annual Ride with Mayor Teresa Tomlinson

This year, we are spicing things up a bit and making BIKE TO WORK DAY an entire day of cycling fun and advocacy. This is the run down of events:

6:30-9:00am: Bike to Work Day Energizing stations open at the following locations:
     - Fall Line Trace rest stop on Talbotton Road accross from Hannan Elementary School.
     - Lake Bottom Park, in front of the tennis court parking lot.
     - Riverwalk at Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center.

5:00-5:30pm: Bike from Work to Uptown for the Second Annual Ride with Mayor Teresa Tomlinson.
6:00pm: The route will begin and end in front of Ride on Bikes, Uptown Columbus - 5 mile route -
Begin on Broadway, towards 14th Street, up to Linwood Blvd towards Lake Bottom park, right on 18th, right on 13th Street, left on Broadway.
(Ride will be Police escorted-helmets required-Bicycles available for rent at Ride on Bikes).

6:45pm: Join Mayor Tomlinson, fellow cyclists and local citizens for the Annual Bike to Work Day Block party in conjunction with the Uptown Concert Series. Drinks, food, FREE GIVEAWAYS, live music (PEGGY JENKINS & THE BUSINESS) and cycling games will be taking place simultaneously. Remember, the 1000 block of Broadway will be closed to traffic for this event.

Also, join Scott's Ride for Miracles as they arrive at Uptown Columbus on the same night....stick around and help us welcome Scott and his rider's back home!
